Two catalogues, not two films

The real difference is the topcoat. STEK's is nano-ceramic infused as standard, and the same layer is credited with the hydrophobic behaviour, the stain and contamination resistance, and the optical clarity. The warranty is where they genuinely differ

The headline terms are not directly comparable, because STEK's own number moves: twelve years in its global document, which states the term varies by region, and ten on its US site, extendable to twelve where Final Coat is applied. The deadlines are where UAE buyers actually lose cover. STEK registration goes through the ONE platform within thirty days of installation and you activate it from a confirmation email — if it never arrives, you have thirty days to chase the shop and nothing afterwards. XPEL's installer files through XPEL's own portal, and claims go back through that shop with the warranty card and your original receipt naming the covered panels. ULTIMATE FUSION's extra four years on oxidation, gloss loss, UV damage and fading also demands an annual inspection for the life of the film.

Matte, colour and the RTA

STEK's range is wider here. STEALTH is XPEL's satin film — the same protection as ULTIMATE PLUS, but it turns gloss paint matte — and XPEL makes a FUSION PLUS variant specifically for STEALTH so the satin is not made glossy. STEK answers with DYNOmatte, then goes further with a Fashion Film colour series in automotive-grade paints, including carbon-fibre patterns. XPEL's COLOR PPF is the equivalent: ten years, not transferable.

Dubai adds paperwork. A change of finish counts as a colour change, meaning a Police Colour Change Request and then the RTA within thirty days of the police NOC, with rules varying by emirate. Ask the studio to confirm it handles that before the car goes in.
